A well-established Not-For-Profit South of the Swan River was operating on an infrastructure that was several years old.
This was causing poor connectivity, frequent downtime, a lack of application availability and increasing costs. Oasis Technology was engaged to present solutions to this issue and improve their connectivity.
Our Solution
We presented two options to solve this issue for the Not-For-Profit; replace the infrastructure entirely or move to the cloud. In close consultation with them, we discussed the pros and cons and decided to go for a full cloud solution with no servers on the premises.
We then found an opportunity to refresh the server and move to the Cloud by taking advantage of a partnership with Microsoft that gave them a discounted Office 365 productivity suite. Oasis Technology then assisted them in moving their email systems from exchange to Office 365. We also set up infrastructure in Microsoft Azure and their new Sharepoint environment to encourage and support collaboration opportunities.
The Results
The new cloud system successfully simplified their content and document management, as well as strengthened identity access management and data security through a transparent and straightforward process.
